Our Story
Teaching in, and leading the launch of three K-12 schools, multiple after-school, weekend school, and summer camps, Wadud felt a void of innovation, aligned leadership, strategic planning, and human capital management in the American education sector. To grow professionally and learn from the latest research, he attended the leadership institute at the Principal's center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2012 followed by a two years full time graduate studies at the Vanderbilt Peabody College of Education from 2013-2015 (ranked no. 1 school of education by US News 6 years in a row).
At Vanderbilt, Wadud was exposed to an unique fusion of three tier organizational leadership model focusing on 1. Individual Leadership Theory: learning about the research and application in the field of individual leadership development, 2. Organizational Design: learning to structure, design, and align organizations to its leadership, vision, and goals, and 3. Strategy & Analytics: learning first about accounting to decipher financial data and then learn to ask great questions (KPQs) to filter out the best and most relevant organizational data that lead to valuable insights shaping sound strategy.
Wadud did not forget his roots in education and took part in the 1st ever cohort of Independent School Leadership M. Ed. program at Peabody in the summer of 2014 and came in contact with some nationally renowned professors and forward thinking educators from across the country learning about curriculum design, and teacher leadership.
Wadud's education and experience in school development/leadership, organizational strategy & analytics consulting coupled with his graduate internship with the CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (houses the #1 business incubator in the SouthEast) supporting their strategy and leadership development equipped him with an unique and eclectic set of tools to lead with insights and innovation to catalyze transformation.
